Job Description Position Title: Assembly Technician 2
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity Assembly Technician 2 with our client in Everett, Washington.
Job Responsibilities: - In-person interactions are necessary to support and drive innovation, productivity, cross-functional collaboration, effective communication, team cohesion, and employee engagement. Working on site at the facility is required.
- Uses metrics to define standards for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Incumbent is responsible for meeting all defined standards.
- Demonstrate understanding of production process, including proper Work Order traveler procedures, escalation measures, self and successive quality checks, applicable standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Demonstrate understanding of the assembly process, including the use of correct tooling, greases, and additional materials to assemble components and adjust them to the required drawing dimension specifications.
- Responsible for verifying completed work according to traveler, drawings, and applicable specifications.
- Mastery of the essential duties and responsibilities of Assembly Tech 1
- Potential equipment/processes for this position include: Bridgeports for Milling operations, Cadmium plating, Bushing Installation, Staking operations, Honing operations, and others.
- Able to produce satisfactory rework of product according to instructions and specifications.
- Willingness to assist in any given area within the shop as needed.
- Actively suggest ideas for process improvements and cost savings (improve time, reduce waste, etc.)
- Follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, models safe work practices
- Responsible for contributing to and supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear and occasionally required to climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities usually required by this job include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Qualifications: - Education and/or Required Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Experience with basic mechanical assembly
- Experience with EZ-Trak lathes, Bridgeport mills, Multi-press, Sunnen Hone
- Knowledge/Skills
- Possess basic math and geometric dimensioning and tolerance blueprint reading skills necessary to perform machining process.
- Basic machining skills required.
- Strong focus and attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision; ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong focus on customer service
- Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills
Job Details: - Job Type: Contract to hire
- Location: Everett, Washington
- Pay Rate Range: $29hr-$30hr
- *Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization.
