As a Security Professional - Armed Patrols in Raleigh, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a financial institution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help prevent potential issues, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain proper licensing for your assigned duties. You will also be expected to provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and uphold the values of Allied Universal by acting with integrity and working collaboratively with your team. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, and/or concerns according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents.
  • Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Hold a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
